In October, we featured the dynamic Jordan. When Lindsey Leckness read our Q&A with her sister and learned about Protect My Shoes, she remarked how useful it would be to have shoe inserts when on board working as a Flight Attendant for a major U.S. airline. Upon hearing this, we spoke with Lindsey and indeed, she is as cool as she is beautiful. Call it sisterly love and a first for us featuring two siblings... beauty, smarts, and a sense of adventure run in their family.
Despite such a busy holiday flying schedule, Lindsey took the time to answer our quick fire questions. When not hopping from one destination to another, you'll most likely find Lindsey enjoying the outdoors and winding down with a nice cabernet sauvignon. Now based in Boston, her Southern California roots are as strong as ever, shining on brightly wherever she lands.

What is your favorite quote or life motto?
“If there is a will there is a way.” This is one of my favorite quotes. I truly believe no matter what it is, if you put your mind and heart into something, you can achieve anything. It is also one of my favorite tattoos I have; I have the viking rune symbol “Ingwaz” which translates to “If there’s a will, there’s a way.”
How long have you been a Flight Attendant?
I have been a Flight Attendant for 10 months.
What’s your favorite part of the job?
Is traveling too cliché of an answer? I really enjoy meeting new people as I am around at least a couple hundred new faces each day. Even my fellow flight attendants, I have a new crew each flight. So, it’s safe to say I hear crazy stories and see some crazy things. It is so unpredictable, I am so intrigued as to who I am going to meet and see each day.
How do you de-stress with such a busy schedule flying to and from places?
With a bold cabernet sauvignon. Being on a plane for long hours is hard on your body so I really love staying active. I try to be outside as much as I can whether it’s running, yoga or walks on the beach.
When not in uniform, how would you describe your overall style?
Everything revolves around my mood. I can go from a sporty girl next door look to 90’s grunge all in one day. Clothes, shoes and accessories have always been a way for me to express myself.
What's your go-to outfit when you're pressing for time?
One of my boyfriend’s many graphic tees, denim jeans, and my favorite heels.
What's your fashion/beauty indulgence?
Shoes, shoes, and more shoes!
Which shoe brand/designer do you love the most?
Stuart Weitzman.
What's your favorite shoe style?
A nice stiletto.
What's your go-to pair of shoes?
Ankle booties.
What is it that you like about the line of products by Protect My Shoes?
Personally, I love how convenient the product is for someone who travels a lot. I am always switching from heels to flats throughout the flight. The protective bag keeps my shoes from getting scratched or damaged and the scent spray keeps my shoes smelling fresh and never stinky!
Why did you choose the “Rouge” pair of shoe inserts?
Red is the color of power and strength. I wear a rouge lipstick whenever I’m working a flight or whenever I need a confidence boost.
What is your favorite place in the world?
Venice. Venice has my heart.
Where would you love to travel to next?
Bali. Or anywhere in Asia.
What inspires you and what are you passionate about?
Traveling inspires me. Being around so many different cultures and people really opens your eyes and inspires you. I am passionate about always trying to enjoy every aspect of life; the good the bad, everything.
If you could have any three people in the world on your flight, who would they be?
My boyfriend, he’s my best friend and my travel buddy. If he’s on my flight that means we’re traveling somewhere fun! Eckhart Tolle, he’s the author of one of my favorite books "The Power of Now". I would love to sit and have a conversation with him and pick his brain. And finally, Tom Hardy, I wouldn’t mind being stuck on a flight with him ha-ha.
